Re: Movie Thread

just finished watching Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. To me it was a mixed bag, leaning towards the positive. Everything with Laura Palmer was perfect. I always liked Sheryl Lee in the show, but she gave a masterclass in acting in this movie. Every reaction, every line delivery was so intricate and ...

Re: Non-cape tv show

I finished the original run of Twin Peaks. The finale was okay, although you could tell Lynch meddled with the script. The Black Lodge sequence wasn't nearly as intense as some previous scenes, so that was a disappointment. I will miss Kenneth Welsh as the "mind of a diamond", Windom Earle. He was ...

He quit years ago. He even mentioned that his voice can't handle it anymore. The Nostalgia Critic videos are just glorified Doge Reviews now.

Re: James A Janisse aka The Dead Meat Cuck

Has anyone ever seriously been bothered by 4:3 footage leaving black bars on the screen? I haven't. I think it does affect how you see the film, but it's not something I take as an automatic negative. It's like colour correction - doing it a certain way will have a certain effect. Re: James A Janisse aka The Dead Meat Cuck

The channel just can't last. The really cool obscure horror flicks won't bring in those Elm Street/Friday the 13th views.

Tremors was kind of an exception, but only because Zoran is a fanatic about them and that enthusiasm elevated the videos.

Re: Spoony the Pussy One: Life is in the Render Queue

He said at one point that he only made that retrospective so he could provide context for his absolute loathing of Ultima IX. The early reviews worked bc Spoony never took them that seriously. They were just fluff pieces meant to build up his real magnum opus. I'll always appreciate them for inspiri...

Re: Movie Thread

If he made three-four iconic films, he's hardly a hackfraud. Just past his prime.

That being said, The Conversation is insanely overrated
