It's a physical barrier. If it supposedly doesn't do anything, why would surgeons wear it at all?

Doctor's offices and hospitals are the only places I'm actually fine with the policy.
They may not help against airborne viruses but they do against fluid viruses like the common flu and especially in winter you've got a couple fags having it in the waiting room.
