That's what was said earlier in the thread.
TBH, shooting on VHS isn't "charming" either. In the shot-on-shiteo era, the pros would have used something like U-matic or Betacam. VHS was one of the shittiest formats, only used by amateurs, mostly parents filming their kids' music recitals.

Brad would be better off shooting in HD/24p to simulate film and HD/30p to simulate video and just slap filters on in post to further the illusion.
