So they're planning to wrap up around episode 60, because of how season one had ten episodes and season two had twenty. You could have easily condensed the whole Goku v Cell fight down to one episode if you cut a few jokes out and extended it another two minutes or so, had 59 be when he fights Gohan at first and then episode 60 you have part one be the ending battle while parts two and three are the wrap up and Trunks going back to the future, which you know they're going to drag out.

Either they're going to go super long or they're doing more episodes.
Making DBZ abridged is a sound idea because the animu is so ridiculously drawn out. But when you start to draw of that shit yourself, what's the point? Read the mango instead. It has humor and isn't full of padding.

They might've picked a faster pace if this was just a fun side-project. Sadly their using this as a major source of income, so it'd better last for as long as possible.

So how long will Buu take? 40 episodes over the course of 5 years?

You're lucky to get 6 episodes a year, try 7-8 years and 840,000 dollars later.

They usually go at a pace of 1 episode per month (give or take a few days) so, conservatively and taking vacations/cons into account, that's 10 episodes per year at the very best.

Add in 6 months of planning for the buu saga (scripts, compression, ending, gags, etc) + 30 episodes + movies and that adds up to 4 years.

That or one or many of them die/split up/get a Yoko Ono/get hired by some major studios/die/viacom cracks down hard on kantent creators.

At the current rate? yep. Though the people who are theorising they might stretch it out for more money, yeah, that sounds about right.

Then again, they do have Super now, which they all love, so that's another fifty episodes. I see them still being around in ten years.

And unironically, their fans will defend them while bashing the Simpsons.

That's par for the course for TFS. Aside from some editing tricks to make the source material look like something else is happening (IE: when Cell tries to absorb 16 and they made his tail shake), they can't do anything original to save their lives. Even at that, the editing tricks still look way out of place.

All you need to do is look at FF7:Machinabridged to see how awful they are at making their own animations. And jokes.
