They got swelled heads over the e-fame they cribbed off someone else's IP, and now they act like they own it and can make whatever money they wish from it. PR is something these companies keep in mind. Bring in the lawyers, and people can spin the narrative that you are being a bully. On the other hand, companies still have a legal obligation to defend their IPs or else they forfeit the right to do so. again, you're grossly grossly overestimating TFS's popularity and how far it will go in the 'court of public opinion'. THis isn't the cold war, and this isn't "mutually assured destruction". They ARE small potatoes, but making your living off the whim that you're too small for a big guy to squash you is not a good way of making a living, especially if you're blatantly on bad legal ground to begin with, and your existence relies on their indifference.
