I would watch Onancitizen, back in the day. He would point out some of the most pretentious shit. As with every other TGWTG nobody I would buy into their 'I play a character' shtick, but after some time I did finally realize that it's not a character, that the only joke was on me. That he doesn't make fun of the movies, he is making fun of people who didn't get them. That his superior intellect and film degree have somehow transcended him beyond my understanding. One of the last things I saw from him was about some African movie, where he was talking about evils of nationalism IIRC. Like most of them after starting a Patreon account he started focusing on what he wanted to do, not what the audience was expecting. Nothing wrong with that, that's the reason Patreon exists in the first place, but still that's the reason why they can spew the shit they do and be entitled to the youtube's ads shekels.
