From what I read, Alamo Drafthouse didn't even fire Farassi. They just had him writing uncredited for their other sites. Worse case scenario if he gets too much shit on Twitter, they'll keep him ghostwriting somewhere else. It's no wonder their theater is so popular. Also, in semi-movieblob news, a "games journalist" from VentureBeat claiming 18 years experience reviewing games played through Cuphead and spent several minutes in the tutorial struggling to do basic instructions the game clearly showed you how to do. Everyone gave him shit over having worse spatial awareness than a pigeon, and of course the games media rounded up the wagons and did tons of crypieces over how games journalists shouldn't have to be good at video games and gamers being so mean to them for expecting them to be competent at their jobs. It's been a week or two after the controversy so of course Blob does a video defending the guy well after people stopped caring. Haven't watched but from what I've heard he purposely skips the parts showing Dean struggling with the tutorial and shows the parts where he just sucks at the main game to make him look better.
