Re: Movieblob
that's the kind of quality research this comic book expert does. He sees how the movie borrows some bits from Death of Superman and The Dark Knight Returns, and just assumes you are required to have read those 20+ year old stories. Because that's totally a thing Hollywood would do for a multi-million dollar movie.

Re: Movieblob
That's becoming more and more of a problem with Marvel this year, though Spider-Man wasn't too bad about it. It's odd because Iron Man 3 actually worked as a stand alone movie despite being what was supposed to be the ending for RDJ as Tony Stark. It explains enough about who Iron Man is and gives you enough of an idea of what happened in Avengers that it could be your first Marvel movie and you wouldn't have a problem.
Ragnarok had the continuity problem as well but Civil War was worse, but I think that was the point for Civil War since it was supposed to be this big fan servicey fight for the long time fans. And that's kind of the problem, much like regular comic books they're comfortable with their current fan base and assume that's all they need, so they'd rather appeal to them instead of making these movies accessible to a wider audience.
That's probably why Bob likes them so much, the new ones reward you for being a fan for so long. But it doesn't always benefit the movie.

Re: Movieblob
The movies connecting to a shitty cinematic universe is irrelevant to how fucking terrible they are. It doesn't HELP, but it's an incidental problem at most. The real problem is Marvel movies fucking suck shit.

There's no such thing as a Fridge too far away for Blob to reach it. He'll beat Usain Bolt if the sprint is from the couch to the dinner table.lexexpress wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 11:36 amI got a movie that Movieblob can review next: "A Fridge too Far."

That's when he has to do an epic team up with his alternate personas and a cardboard cutout of Shigeru Miyamoto to get the job done because no other internet reviewer will team up with him.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 12:32 pmWhat if the fridge is up a flight of stairs though?rabidtictac wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2017 11:40 amThere's no such thing as a Fridge too far away for Blob to reach it. Re: Movieblob
So basically like that one webcomic artist who ended his comic with an "epic" storyline where Hayao Fucking Miyazaki gathers the world's artists to pilot a giant robot and defeat the internet trolls who have voltron'd into a giant green monster with the word "Hate" on its chest. Just replace the "artists" with "intellectual elite", and it fits almost perfectly.
Blob should start a webcomic.
