Nostalgia isn´t that bad to be honest. I mean, I also have found memories of the 80's Mario cartoon, and if i needed to have a "head canon" on this shit (which I don't), I would go with the pumblers from NY, why not...

Thing is, Bob is such a creep when it comes to anything related to his childhood. Stuff like Mario and reto gaming he puts them in this weird pedestal of good, some sort of high value that has to be defended against a bad antagonist, like FPS, and he has this weird fetishization of childhood wonder and goodness of child-like things.

Lately he hasn´t been preaching much of that, since his new thing right now is the superior intelectual, multi-diverse future he envisions, but I remember well some of creepy rants back then...

So does he hate Mario 64? That was the very first Mario game I played and in that he's 100% Italian so I'm use to Mario being Italian and I'm guessing most people around my age are too. Bob seems autistic enough to get legitimately mad that people younger then him never knew Mario was American at one point.
