Even Blob couldn't come up with a way to praise it, he halfheartedly said it was alright. It's a dumpster fire that would've been relentlessly panned if Sony hadn't politicized it. Yeah. We talk about it all the time on here, but the reception to the first movie was largely negative by the time the RLM review came out.

My first warning that people didn't like the new star wars movies was from movie critics not long after phantom menace's release. But even just the people in my family didn't like the new movies as well as the old ones. And we were kids!

I like how they Bob and the person who wrote that tweet never consider that a persons opinion of something can change when they are shown a different way of looking at it. Maybe there are people who thought they did like Ghostbusters 2016 when they first saw it but listening to Plinkett go through everything that doesn't work and why makes them realise the film isn't very good.

Just a reminder that one of the biggest fans of Ghostbusters 2016 was Bob's hero and mentor, Devin Faraci. Faraci spent all last summer declaring that anyone that didn't want to see it was a misogynistic racist.
