However, in regards to Sesame Street, he wasn't saying that Sesame Street didn't have black people, but that he almost never saw any in real life because of where he lived, but did see them on Sesame Street. So he was basically saying that transgenderism should be mentioned in school to kids because that way kids who might not be aware of it or come in contact with transgender people would be aware of it, like how he saw black people on Sesame Street even though he almost never saw them in real life as a kid.
