Blame it on Lindsay. They saw that LIndsay got on the New York Times Bestseller List with her glorified Starscream fanfiction that was basically a YA for adults and wanted a piece of that pie. Either that or they want to be the next John Green who got big with YA like The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns, and other stuff that got adapted into Hollywood movies and shows.
