It was a neat sci-fi franchise. Though I never got over the bulky snake masks they used in SG-1, especially after the rad masks from the movie.
It IS... or maybe was, given how this new prequel web miniseries is gonna go.
Yeah.

Every sci-fi franchise must eventually be destroyed in the name of progress.

The obsession with Ghostbusters is an odd one. It's like StarGate or some shit. It never warrented being this cultural icon like it somehow is for some people, yet they cling to it.
Stargate is fucking awesome. I wouldn't call it a cultural icon, but it's just a really good, consistent franchise.

This fucker is in his 30s. Embarrassing...
It was more embarrassing when he did a video about all the formats the original Ghostbusters came in
I find that video more interesting, seeing all of these dead formats that never came here, hearing how they worked makes for an OK video in my mind, James Rolfe did something similar back in the day. I don't recall which of them got in to more details, but I'll watch this before: Look at how some market researchers fucked up my favourite cartoon any day.
His attachment to Ghostbusters is on par with his attachment to TMNT and to lesser extend Transformers , seeing as all of them are cartoons he watched as a kid, It kind of speaks for itself. As to Ghostbusters alone there is also his insistence that Answer The Call didn't influence his love for the OG Ghostbusters, so it can be a case of overcompensation as well.

I would say James' video was more informative. He also had the players for those formats and used a couple to show off interesting bits, like how the CED player pulls out the disc from inside the cartridge, or how the laserdics being analogue instead of digital made fast-forwarding and rewinding look smoother and more organic.

Has his shtick always been just a crazy eyed Cucknadian who has trouble expressing any kind of normal emotions or speech?
...and still: Spoony did nothing.

I think he was acting less "lol wacky" manchild when he started back in the day with his movies reviews but the longer he has remained associated with CA in anyway he has degenerated into that, Failous is proof some people shouldn't try to be funny
