ThatAussieGuy a podcast, she was a guest on some, but she hasn't done her own. She will never do it because that is to much work for a marginal return, but there was a moment when the minor nobodies from CA where trying to get on that bandwagon.
You take that back! Kung Tai Ted was the hero of the people. He helped me through the darkest of times.Silent wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 5:06 pmBattleGeekPlus, which included a man who did a low-rent rip-off of one of Brad's worst characters
There's no way in hell this guy actually still watches the Simpsons. Keeping a delusional attitude like that only helps him maintain hipster cred. If he ever does watch, he probably only cherry picks an episode here and there when his media feeds alert him to one of them few good ones that pop up rarely.Guest #2 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 26, 2017 7:43 pmYou know, this guy is my Lolcow, because how fucken stupid and whiny he is
Srsly it was fucking weird when they suddenly started to make sequel episdoes for one-off characters last seen 100+ episodes ago. That's like shit you do for those Simpsons comics where Bart has the wrong shirt color.Tony Schiavone wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 7:51 pmWARNING: Completely unnecessary sperge belowShowSeason 13??? The show was sliding down to suck WAAAY before 2001. I remember episodes that were starting to veer into ass in nineteen-ninety-effing-eight.
The show now is a mostly unwatchable effort that wouldn't be good enough for adult swim. Forget medicore, the episodes writing and comedy are firmly below average. The jokes are nothing more than a progressive/liberal world's fair, trying to smarten up everyone (the loyal audience) with benefits to their lives while bowing down in wow and awe at the celebrity darling of the weak. Then roughly halfway into the episode, the show remembers it needs to be funny to be a comedy, so it tries a few week jokes that are never really the fault of the concept or guest, and see them return to status quo with the concept failing for completely dumb, illogical reasons or because everyone else is too ignorant or undeserving to appreciate it. That's when they're not strip mining old episodes for cheap laughs and nostalgia, or focusing on more obscure characters for an emotional story that never needed to happen. Can't wait for the Bumblebee Man opus.
When the damn theme park ride is a more enjoyable experience, you know you have a problem.
The show is at its best--and the few times it shines recently--when it stuck primarily to Bart. These writers never ask themselves if their plot would work better as a Bart episode, when it usually would. (Take any mediocre episode, put Bart as the main character, and see if the premise doesn't get better immediately with more comedy opportunities and emotional punches). The show should be mostly Bart, sometimes Marge, and occasionally Maggie. Push Homer to the side--as a B-plot or side character he's good in small doses, but they've pretty much exhausted every facet they can explore with the character at this point. Push Lisa back even further. She's better as an apolitical wisdom dispenser and actual 8 year old girl than a mouthpiece for the writers.
Side note: why can't we have a conservative daughter on a TV sitcom? How come no one else hasn't ever tried to do that yet?
