Thank fucking fuck that youtubing as a career is finally DOA. I'm not a corporativist but, fuck, I want more corporations to swoop in talent, put them on their payroll and give them a YT channel while killing all reviewers, critics and aspiring artists that want a handout for their insightful commentary. Let's be real here, how many fucking professional vloggers can the economy sustain?

End of story. No more of this "I'm an independent entertainer". NO you're FUCKING NOT. You get pink slips for marketing reps and you shill for them while begging your userbase for sheckels.

This is comming off as very lolbertarian but kahntent crators can die the fuck off.

Monetization for everyone was the biggest mistake YT ever made.

How much of that is because it is owned by Google?

It gave many manchildren and sperges a delusional view of the world. Their particular dancing bear routine was popular at that moment, so they got some money from it and figured they could do this forever.

What do they think they can do against an advertiser boycott? Advertisers have the right to decide who gets to try to shill their products. If all you make is R-Rated screaming rants, no surprise some advertisers will choose to market their products through someone else.

They're all crying because they CAN'T be paid shills. What a world.

They want to be paid shills, but they also feel like they should be in charge at the same time. Typical DSPism.

They thought they could make it profitable but it's like everything else they do. They managed to cock it up

YouTube is trying to become Netflix with YouTube Red, buying movies, renting movies etc but none of that shit is working because people don't associate YT with paying for videos and "paid" YT also drives a really shitty bargain compared to other streaming services.
