Well no shit. They probably need to test to decide if they want to risk a surgery.

These doctors don't make you lose weight BEFORE weight loss surgery because they're cruel. They do it:

a) to reduce the risk of YOU DYING on the operating table and
b) to see you are committed to not wasting their time and money on the operation

These operations aren't no-effort jaunts for the people involved. These are long, difficult surgeries. It takes sweat, tears and talent to operate on a landwhale and reduce their body mass without murdering them in the process.

The doctor probably needs to check boogie's weight and overall health to decide if it's time to tap out. They're not going to operate if they think Boogie will die on the table.

I think there's also a thing about how a fatso's swollen liver makes access to the stomach harder.

Basically what this translates to is "I didn't lose the weight pre-surgery that my doctors told me I have to lose and now I might not be eligible to get it because I'm a retard who can't stop eating, feel bad for me!!!"
