LOL! I don't know. I think Violence Jack is hilariously awesome. I own the DVD.
Basically, if Bennett pans it, I would probably love it. The few times I've watched him, he comes off as a neo-puritanical prude.

I'm interested in knowing what happened between them as well. Toole seems like a walking anime encyclopedia and is pretty knowledgeable about obscure dubs, whereas Bennett is just another internet nobody talking to the camera.

Benito the Sag's whole deal is that he treats shitty 80's splatter OVA's like they're the worst thing in the world of the medium itself when at worst they're mediocre. He also only watches dubs because he's both an ultrapleb and can milk bad dubbing as a criticsm when that's not indicitive of a work's quality at all.

He also says that animu peaked in the 80's. He's really fixated on that period.
