Every time. Every time these internet nobodies fail at basic fucking customer service. No wonder they rely on doing internet shit, they are too socially retarded for the real world.

Technically you pay for a patreon after the month is over, so you pay for stuff he did last month and not for the things he will do in the next month. That is just a misconception brought upon the customer thanks to the left panel with "Goals". There is no immediate causal-effect relation between them, though some People on the internet assume that if the producer achieved some goal he will immediately start a work on it, which is dumb. The whole concept of the Patreon model is to sustain the 'artist' so he is not dependant on his output, which was the case with the adSense model.
It is funny for me when people are shocked that patreon-powered producers will release less and less stuff as time go, that's exactly what you're paying for. In theory the money could be used to improve quality, but this kind of goal isn't as popular as it was in the beginning and is hard to objectively measure. It will never be used to improve output, that would be counterproductive.

So we forgot to mention rich's moral struggle with starting one in the first place, glad he chose what we all knew he would.

Did Spoony ever respond to anyone on Paymecon? Even in the early days of it starting?
Is Spoony dead yet?

Whenever they get a paying customer with a complaint, their first instinct is to tell them to fuck off. But when one of these e-celebs start seeing their "business" fail, like DSP is, then they cry about "where have all the people gone" and "why aren't people watching my videos?"

You can't have it both ways. If you shit on paying fans, don't cry when they leave. Rich SAYS this guy can just leave. But imagine if this guy posted that conversation and the shit went fucking viral and Rich lost 60% or more of his subs overnight. Then he suddenly wouldn't feel that way. He's only telling THIS guy to fuck off because he thinks this guy can't do anything to his bottom line. And by himself, he probably can't. But most businesses know it's a little more complicated than that.

Not saying e-celebs have to bow to every whim of their fans, but there's no reason to be an asshole to your fans when WE KNOW you are a money whore.

Me? I wouldn't care if everyone subbed to me on YT unsubbed tomorrow. I don't actually give a shit and don't want to make money from internet shit. But Rich DOES. That's the difference. Fuck this ungrateful cunt. He only has the life he has because of people like this guy that he insulted.

If human interaction and customer service teaches you anything, it's to pout your lips a little before the dick goes on, Rich should know this having worked retail before.

If someone is giving you money FOR FREE then you should really give what you say, and if you can't all you have to do is say you're sorry and do it asap, that's all people want to hear and that's why no one has trust in spoony, I almost guarantee even if he said sorry every few months he might still be over a grand.

Their advantage compared to retail is that they have a gigantic reach. Look at DSP or Spoony and you'll see that despite having driven actual thousands of people away and even more potential "customers" they still go on. Any legit business would've been fucked at that point, unless they had an absolute stranglehold on the market.

They are doomed with being stuck with the absolute worst supporters, though. Know those super annoying customers that you can't stand but come by regularly? Like the old guy that isn't a twat or something but will want to tell you some fucking story every time so you avoid him if possible? Those guys are all that Spoony for example is left with.

Once an internet nobody reaches a certain threshold, they believe themselves to be too big to fail and think the dirty viewer peasants need to be grateful to be able to bask in their glory.

Then they might eventually realize that the only fans that will stick to them no matter what aren't worth keeping around.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

DSP is so hilarious to me because he's a combination of both desperation and unwarranted arrogance. He constantly berates his fans as "lazy," "stupid" and "dumbasses" with no life experience. But he also goes full desperation mode and begs like a little bitch for the smallest crumb from your table. He calls it a business, but the only shit DSP sells is his sob story, to make you feel bad and want to give him LITERAL PENNIES. He does on-stream shout-outs for actual pennies. You can donate to this desperate fuck on his stream and he has to acknowledge you giving him 10 cents or whatever. Ridiculous. It's a fucking joke!

And you know what, Rich The Bitch, you are just a few years away from where DSP is. That could be you before you know it. So keep it in mind. People don't stay on top in this internet game. None of you shitbirds make content that is worth paying directly for. Even a shitty movie from Hollywood has more intrinsic value than your garbage channels.

A lot of these youtubers are like websites during the dotcom bubble. They have no product, no value and provide nothing useful.
