Ironic thing is it's not even remotely offensive in the UK and are common sayings on TV here. In face "Jappie Chappies" is a reference to Takeshi's Castle and is said at the beginning of every episode.
Just ignorant Americans trying to find offense for other people are complaining about it, the same people who think saying "Ello Guvnor" and spewing off lines Tracer says are charming British things when they're likely to get a fist in the throat is they said it here.

Chinese whispers was a thing here too in Straya. Fuck, even a teacher in school called it that when they would get us to whisper something to each other and then after 10 people it would change.

I'm doing a video on how the word "Spastic" became the "nigger" for the mentally disabled in the UK soon, Mario Party 8 used the word in the game and had to be recalled.
