not sure if this counts as retro but what happend to the golden sun series?

Those were some GBA rpgs right? From what I remember they were pretty good, I hate portables though so I never really played it besides emulating which also felt weird.
Have those never been remade for a pc release? You'd think with all the jrpgs getting ported to steam these would be included as well.
I think they made a DS game as well. Anyway yeah, nintendo owns them bitches and you know how much they love to provide games people love to the public.
I never played the GBA ones but hated the DS game. I completely lost track of the story and the game just devolved into trudging between samey dungeons for ill defined reasons. The graphics were pretty for the time and the battle system was okay but otherwise, if this is representative of the series I wouldn't recommend it.

at least you can emulate GBA games on your PSP and shit.
TBH I dunno how being put on PC would help games with specs that low.
they could just remaster them but there is a huge audience for it anyway, why you think they remake all the old FFs and CT and secret of mana??

(waiting for lufia 2 myself)

Also from what I gather on the internet the 3rd game (probably that DS one) is hated but the first 2 are great. But yeah I forgot how much nintendo sucks when it comes to sharing their games with the larger public.

Anyone else been following the NESmaker progress? Seems like a fun little thing if it delivers

A lot of people are saying that the engine is limited etc., but I think it's better than nothing. I mean, making a game for the NES is fucking ridiculous even if you know how to code, so I'm more than happy that someone is trying to make it easier
- and that's a good thing.

Neat. Looks like it'll make more sense than Game Maker, way back in the day.

Just think about the metric fucktons of money they'd be able to rack in if they'd just copied Sega's emulated game collections. But oh well, I guess selling cardboard is more fun.

I don't know what Cuckcom are doing with the new collection. I HOPE it's the MAX version, but you're probably right. Kind of like how Alpha 2 had a gold version in the alpha collection, but I bet that shit isn't coming back for the new $40 compilation.
A bit sad that they didn't include the "definitive" versions of those games. My friggin' PS2 has more and better versions of the Alpha games.

Though this being Capcom, maybe we'll see MAX as DLC. Or in the Super Anniversary Edition.

I'd also like a WORKING version of chaos tower, while we're at it.
