Unfortunately the localization of the first one isn't very good.
They even cut the iconic line of the zombie cop "Understood. Shoot to kill." off.

Yeah Siren 2 is Pal only apparently. I want a hard copy, looking at swapmagic rather than fucking with Pal/Jp PS2’s.

Silent Hill is an allegory for Alchemy and Jungian Psycholigy. It's a play with characters standing for concepts. That's why it's good, that's why the atmosphere is what it is. It's also why it was never replicated.
