Don't get GTA IV on PC! Games for Windows Live fuckery and since the last patch the game runs ultra shitty. Sub 30 fps on a 1080 is not okay!
>sub 30 fps
>for a 10 year old game
>running on a fucking 1080 card

How is that even possible?

You'd have to ask Rockstar about that. Imagine my surprise. A week ago I thought I'd play some GTA IV again and install some mods. First the whole GFWL shittery, which was bothersome enough to get past (meaning get GFWL to even fucking update) and then shit frames. Took another look at the Steam forums and word is they broke it half a year ago.

Wasn't there this period where a couple developers where moving their games onto Steam when it became known that GFWL might just be killed off for good?

All you had to say was "Games for Windows Live." I never buy anything nowadays that has that shit on it. It's pure poison.

Yeah, and Rockstar aren't one of those that removed it. Rockstar are actually very incompetent. I bet GTA IV and V were just so expensive and took so long to make because they suck so fucking bad at programming.

Since these faggots refuse to outright say if the new Red Dead even gets PC release, I'm joining the "Rockstar is full of incompetent programmers" club. Anyone that's tried playing GTA Online can confirm that it's a bug riddled shithole (mixed with hackers and constant server failures) that hasn't been significantly improved despite being out for almost 5 years now. And that is what makes them most money, because people are fucking insane and have nothing better to do.

Vice City runs better on a PC if you emulate it than the "native" PC version. Is there anything more damning I could say about their technical ability?

Ah, the famous DMC3 school of porting. A really acquired taste.

i genuinely think that rockstar hires interns to do any PC ports for their games and cant be asked to do them. They haven't given a rats ass about PC gamers for years and doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon.

Wasn't there a site where ex-employee can write about the work condition at their old job that could help us find if this is the case? Glass something
