Is this an American movie, or a Japanese movie?
If American, be prepared for Princess Impeach being an insufferable feminist cunt who will follow Mario who will be followed by Mario for the whole thing, so he can be her punching bag.
Luigi, if in the movie at all, will cameo with his black husband.

American, but overseen by Nintendo and Miyamoto in particular. I imagine that's why it looks so much like the games

Funny part is that Peach didn't show up at all in the trailer but Luigi did. I wonder why?

The princess is in another castle.
And Luigi will probably be reserved for a post-credits scene.

I imagine that's why the (established) characters will stay white.
I imagine there will be additional OC princesses to fulfill the diversity quota.

You're underestimating how protective Nintendo is about Mario.

Then there is hope, unless Shigeru's involvement consists in taking a big check and looking the other way.
Which is unlikely, because Mario is his most important ip and his legacy.
I didn't dislike anything about that trailer, maybe because i don't hate Chris Pratt as a person.
If it's not woke i will pirate it.

No, they did that with the Bob Hoskins movie and look how that turned out.

No, they keep a tight leash on their IPs now. Don't want another Super Mario Bros movie fiasco and they don't want Ken Penders type incidents because, say, some autist was writing Mario comics for them for years without much, if any, oversight

I don't hate him either but he ain't Mario. I do, on the other hand, hate the Hollywood faggots who keep insisting they need big marquee names to sell an animated voice-over movie.

I don't really give a shit about Pratt's personal views - I was one of Vic's most enthusiastic supporters - but I thought not hiring Charles Martinet was a stupid idea from the get go - I don't really like what Pratt's doing with the voice - and I remain convinced they should have just stayed with Martinet.

You don't even need to have Mario talk much - just lean in on physical comedy, kids still like most classic Looney Toons because that shit is ageless when done well.
