You know, if you like playing video games to relax after along day and you have to rely on 9 other people to play along, it is time to switch over to singleplayer games.

The genre is too stat-based and way too rigid. The games are just aping DOTA instead of coming up with something actually unique. For any change in the meta there's pretty much one optimal team composition, one optimal build, one optimal timing to do stuff. Give or take, that boils down to games being more or less the same until the next big update that only changes stuff for the sake of changing things.
What MOBAs really need is some hard rule-breaking. When you make a game, always at least take a look at Magic the Gathering. Every single rule in the game can be broken. You can't break a single rule in MOBAs or only bend one very slightly. I think the genre needs that. It needs some serious possibility for cheese, some real game-changers. There's zero creativity in the moment to moment gameplay and that results in massive frustration because everyone has to follow the game plan almost all of the time and everyone knows it. If one player goofs of for a moment the game is pretty much over but can drag out real badly.
Why are the minions so boring? Why so strictly of a certain type and of a certain volume? Why can't one make more choices? Towers are super boring as well. Why no upgrading them or having a choice to alter their type, maybe to counter some specific type of minion? Why can't one do more with the jungle creeps other than kill them for a buff or gold or XP? How about recruiting them?
The rules are sooo fucking rigid! There's already a hard lack of skill required, you'd need to add choices at least to make games more variable.

DOTA has confusing stats to boot. It's not at all clear how to build heroes imo. You just follow recommended items and that's that.
DOTA dies have some rule breaking with item builds because you can get a caster item with a useful active on a hero that would never otherwise use it, and counter something that's maybe countering you, but it's still very vague as far as stats go.
Also, Intellect heroes piss me off because stacking INT just ups their auto attack damage and not the damage of their magic based abilities.... wtf is that shit?

Isn't that how Warcraft 3 handled it? You primary stat only boosted your auto-attack damage, because the skill damage solely depends on skill level or something?

Yes, that's how War3 dud hero units.
