If by "book" you mean "Dungeons & Dragons"

Imagine spending a billion US dollars to be a loser. Could've watched animu and be one for free.

FF died after the SNES,

However, I did enjoy the FF Rhythm games on the 3ds :p

I might check them out because their OSTs are pretty gud for the most part. My favorite is probably Clash at the Big Bridge.

I've heard those games also offer songs from other IPs. I hope that's true, 'cause I really dig the Secret of Mana soundtrack.

TBH I like dungeons and dragon's vidya gaems more than the idea of tabletop D&D. I don't want to ''imagine'' shit in a room of other turbonerdvirginlosers when I could see it in a vidya gaem. Rolling a character in a vidya gaem makes sense too. They can implement all the tabletop rules behind the scenes where I don't have to see or care about them unless I want to, like KotoR and those other western RPGs did.

I was fucking around with neverwinter nights 2 and it's impressively fun to make a shitty warlock elf in the character creation. Haven't even played the game yet, but I was impressed by the detail in building your dudes.

Diablo-style action games should also have more dumb D&D shit in them, because it, again, will be behind the scenes where I can't see it.

You should pickup the ps2 balders gate games then, they are a great mix of class building and Diablo style fighting.

You'd have to buy them, emulating them is really hard because of how they were made, the game plays at a crawl.

Oh yeah, those where pretty fun. Though they aren't exactly a port of the actual D&D rules set by any stretch of the imagination, which in this case was probably a good thing.

Ah yes, good ol' Pools of Radience that follows D&D 2.0 rules to a T. I've spent more time sleeping and memorizing spells than actually exploring or fighting. Still, a good game if you're up for something really, really oldschool.

It's arguable that the first Neverwinter Nights is a better game for dicking around just because of how easy it actually is to set up your own campaign to run with your friends.
The only problem is you lose out on a lot of the new rules, races, items, spells, etc that 2 brings to the table. Then again, I'm not too certain that I care if my buddy gets to play a tiefling, anyway, because I'm too busy trying to prove to people that properly playing a Paladin doesn't mean being Lawful Stupid and anti-fun.

Nobody knows the fun of playing a Scythe wielding Paladin.
