Good to hear the MCU tradition of the Thor films being the shittiest of the bunch hasn't changed.
Captain Marvel or Black Panther might be worse, especially depending on what they do in BP

There are a lot of soundtrack and visual cues that are homaging Flash Gordon
Forgot new Thor had that Mark Mothersbaugh OST. I'll probably never listen to it, I don't like listening to film soundtracks when I haven't seen the flick and I'm not watching that shit.

I'll say this for Thor: I'd fuck his wife.

I've seen the BP teaser and now trailer in full theaters, and you could feel the utter disinterest. It looks terrible and nobody, not even black people, want to see it. When the song in the trailer says "bow down to my glory" or whatever, people actually got irritated.

And Cate Blanchett's Thor is so much better than Baby Spider or Iron Man 2: Trailer For The Avengers.

You're all being spergs, I never love the Mahvel shit, but Ragnarok's one of the better ones. A big part of it is the director's work, and this director's a guy who actually has some vision. This leads to the movie feeling more like a movie as opposed to a product.
There's a little Whedonshit, and it sucks, but it is restrained.
There are a lot of soundtrack and visual cues that are homaging Flash Gordon, but the movie Ragnarok reminded me the most of is probably 300. Director wanted to commit some cool shit to film. Its a LOT better than the other two.
Not particularly substantial, but I don't know how you'd do that with this Mahhhvel capeshit.
Yeah, I thought Ragnarok was actually pretty decent. It would've been better if it didn't take its antagonist so seriously (which really clashed with how lighthearted the rest of the movie was), but I suppose there's probably some mandate to always have some kind of serious threat in the film.

Cate Blanchett is a smoking hot for an old lady in the new Thor.

I haven't seen much of the MCU personally, besides the first Iron Man, the first Avengers and Doctor Strange, and only the last one was somewhat captivating for me if only because it wasn't a predictable superhero flick.

Oh boy, can't wait to see what established straight character he turns gay and which white character he'll replace with a boring as fuck "diversity" character!
