Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Hoh boy. Not sure what to expect. Screen Junkies is being (cautiously) critical of the movie instead of the usual "I CLAPPED!!!!" treatment everyone gives a new Star Wars movie.

Meh, it's still positive shilling as expected. TLJ currently holds a 93% on RT just like the last film (not that RT is a credible source whatsoever), and just like the last film, reviewers are shilling the living shit out of it for essentially being a merger of ESB + ROTJ and fulfilling their autistic fantasy quotas. Maybe Rian Johnson isn't quite a complete hack, but those extra points probably also came from Carrie Fisher sympathizers.Liar Revealed wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 8:43 pmHoh boy. This ultimately begs the question of what the actual fuck is Episode 9 going to be about then? It feels like Disney blew their collective load early with these two movies. Jar Jar Abrams will just be a hack as always & they hired the screenplay writers behind BvS/Justice League + Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. "What could possibly go wrong?"

Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
Critics are always easy on Star Wars movies, from The Phantom Menace to the present day. Ironically, they were much harder on the good ones in the 70s and 80s. It's really impossible to figure it out because with critics you'll get 93 people telling you it's the bestest Star Wars evah and 7 miserable Spoonies whining that it's the worst thing they ever saw and it ruined their entire life.

I'm more interested in what you guys will think upon seeing it than any of these shilling fucks.

Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
I'm really curious whether it will top my cinema viewing experience of Episode 2, which destroyed my hopes for the franchise and respect for George Lucas as I saw this "masterpiece" unfold.
(Don't judge me because it took me until Episode 2 to realize this. I was a lot younger and easily-impressed when Episode 1 came out.)
I'm also curious if they've really blown their load with this one. It's common for crappy Hollywood trilogies to have the last two movies be essentially a two-parter.

You were not alone. Everyone who saw Episode 1 back in the day just assumed that it was a fluke and that Episode 2 would put the series back on track. How wrong we were?VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Tue Dec 12, 2017 11:17 pm(Don't judge me because it took me until Episode 2 to realize this. It's kind of funny, that those earlier "leaks" sounded a lot better than the actual movie.

Re: Star Whores: Diverse Agenda
Yeah, everyone was saying, "Phantom Menace was just setting the stage. George has a plan, and it will all become clear with episode 2!" Which was bullshit of course.
And funny enough, people said the same thing about episode 7. "Well, JJ is just setting the stage. Of course he had to retread some familiar ground, he needed to refresh people's memory. He has a plan and when you see episode 8 it will all make sense."
And from the reviews and spoilers I'm hearing, this is false. None of the nonsensical bullshit of episode 7 is explained in this.
