Man, this is even worse than I imagined. How do you get from this to the first black Doctor? Will he be queer in some way? Will he be a docile cishet who knows his place and is a devout ally? Will those strong female companions break all of his bucks?
EDIT: Speaking of combat wheelchairs... what about Davros, the creator of the Daleks and usually depicted as a mutated cripple?
They're gonna FUBAR his character because depicting a bad guy with disabilities is problematic
What about Cybermen then? They're technically brains with a full-body prosthetic.
EDIT The 2nd: So according to leaks the Doctor might get a twin regeneration, effectively getting their fabled black Doctor and keeping Tennant around for a 3rd run.
Not only doe sit reek of desparation to find a way to keep the popular Doctor around for spin-offs and shit, but I find it a bit problematic that the Black Doctor will have to share the limelight with the white one.
