Twin Peaks
Anybody watching nu-Peaks? Or have watched Old Peaks?
I must say the old series has got to be one of the best TV shows ever made and this new series, despite being in many ways way different, is probably the best thing currently on television

Re: Twin Peaks
I haven't seen any of the new shit. I run from all these reboots because they're usually horrible.
Old twin peaks was breddy ok.

Re: Twin Peaks
I wouldn't call this new series a reboot so much as a continuation. It's very good. Lynch really knows what he's doing and the new series builds on the old series concepts instead of wallowing in them like he did with Fire Walk With Me. It's basically a lesson in how to do a sequel.

Re: Twin Peaks
Basically, girl gets murdered in the small, all-American town of Twin Peaks and the FBI are sent in to investigate her murder, uncovering the town's darker underside in the process of finding out who killed her. It's a soap opera (but a good soap opera) masquerading as a crime drama with some surrealist elements. If you've ever seen David Lynch's film Blue Velvet, it's basically a variation on that theme

Sounds okay. Wait a second, didn't that Archie in name only rip this off very badly?Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2017 8:58 amBasically, girl gets murdered in the small, all-American town of Twin Peaks and the FBI are sent in to investigate her murder, uncovering the town's darker underside in the process of finding out who killed her. If you mean Riverdale then I guess so. I've never actually watched Riverdale

Re: Twin Peaks
I watched Season One about five years ago. I dropped S2 real early on for no real reason, I just didn't come back to it.
I didn't really "get it" back then but it was five years ago, I wanted to give it another watch and git leddy for S3 but still haven't.

Re: Twin Peaks
Didn't they solve Laura Palmer in the movie? What's the point of a new season?
Is there anyone as hot as prime Sheryl Lee in this?

They solved it early in the second season of the original series.

The original series ended on the mother-of-all cliffhangers (well, really it was like three cliffhangers)

There are quite a lot of hot women in this revival
