The best anime fight scene ever
(before tictac freaks out about what show this is, it's one of the less popular Hissatsu shows)

McDonald's USA is doing some strange anime thing. Remember WcDonald's? Does anime even do that gag anymore?

Yeah, I think they're still doing it. It's just too easy to rotate their logo for a totally original fast food joint.
Also not entirely sure it's a wise decision to make an animu ad after the fallout of that Japanese ad that was vile propaganda for heteronormativity and the nuclear family.

Except for the SJW/Tumblr crowd for whom the American queer ads at the time were meant for.

They'll just seethe that tiny bit more, saying "thank you" in a dismissive way at the drive in while being handled their "perfectly normal meal size for an average American adult" in three bags.VoiceOfReasonPast wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 6:47 amExcept for the SJW/Tumblr crowd for whom the American queer ads at the time were meant for.

Re: Weebshit Thread
I'm watching three anime this season.
The new Urusei Yatsura; no introduction needed for this show.
Ninja Kamui, a dark, edgy violence fest. Kind of feels like those old dime-a-dozen OVAs of the 90s. It's OK, nothing special. Kenjiro Tsuda always handles these kind of characters well.
And then there's Bang Brave Bang Bravern. This show is by Masami Obari and is just bizarre. But I like it so far. Basically a "real robot" world where suddenly a sentient Super Robot shows up to fight invaders. Bravern is delightfully corny, looking like something out of Power Rangers and giving cheesy speeches about heroism.
There's some Ambiguously Gay Duo type of humor that I'm not a big fan of though.

Any connection to the rest of Brave franchise*, or is it just some kind of hommage/parody? I can't really find a confirmation.
*) If you've ever heard of the Brave franchise before it's probably through GaoGaiGar.
Though I guess J-Decker would be closer in style, even if it looks more like a Transformers ripoff.

Re: Weebshit Thread
I don't think it's related. The "brave" part in the Japanese title is different. Takara's Brave was Yūsha (hero) and this one is Yūki (courage).
