HnK actually has an assload of adaptations and spinoffs, more than most Japanese manga get. I don't know how many are good, I never bothered with them. They even made direct remake movies throughout the 2000's that replaced the old cast with popular live action actors, reception was mixed.

The manga is best of course, but the '80s TV series is still the best adaptation. It has some obnoxious filler in the first story arc, though. Later filler episodes were a lot better. I always skip the clipshows, though.

Just skip the filler arcs. Pretty much any episode that has a synopsis that doesn't include a famous villain in it is filler. If you want, you can skip everything except Kenshiro confronting bad guys and probably be ok. That's all the show is.

Authorities made an announcement confirming Watsuki had been detained for soliciting child pornography of young girls in their very early teens. According to current investigations, the manga artist is said to have acquired multiple DVDs of pornography in October whilst working in Tokyo. The explicit videos all featured unclothed minors in their teens, and reports indicate Watsuki's preyed on girls in late elementary and early junior high.

For a moment I thought he got busted with that copy of Boku no Pico every japanese person has under their pillow. But I looked at the article and it seems he had real-life 3d images of actual fucking children. So, serious pedo shit rather than typical pedolite nipponese behavior.

I suppose we all should have been suspicious when his primary romance in his mango was between a 30s something man and a 16 year-old girl.
