The "rebooted" movie series is pretty good too, but the way that they made it is kind of unintelligible to noobs and requires that you have already read the manga/seen the old TV series to understand it.

I haven't seen it in a while, but I liked it. The character designs and visuals are very different though, more of a modern shonen look.

Aboveup reminded me with his persona post that I haven't finished all of part 4 JoJo yet. I'll be done with it soon though. Oh, did they ever confirm the other parts were getting an anime? I'm still in awe that we got as much translated as we did. Parts 1, 2 AND 3 are now officially translated into english in manga form, and 1-4 are in anime. I don't think the new animation is as good as the old OVAs were, but at least it is there and it's faithful.
Part 4 is fun, but feels more like JoJo Side Stories. The stakes are low as fuck, which is also kind of refreshing, I suppose. The Pillar Men were really the OG pimps of high stakes. Even Dio can't compare to them. Josuke is also a bit bland for a JoJo protagonist. But maybe Keichi is the real main character. I like Okuyasu the best of the part 4 guys, or maybe Reddo Hotto Chirri Pep-pa. Speaking of which, the translations censorships are hilarious.
"Watch out guys, that Iced Sorbet is going to kill us" etc etc.
