I remember that. I just can't recall if there was any singing involved in the comic.

In any case, I didn't find Mark to be a good singer.

I must admit that I didn't read it as a song until I watched the movie. But it is there. The letterer didn't make it clear enough, usually they put musical notes around a speech bubble if the words are meant to be sung.

It was not his best performance. Old age and smoking mean that it's actually painful for him to do the Joker voice now. Of course, he's still slightly better off than Arleen Sorkin, who can't do Harley Quinn at all because she damaged her voice with cigarettes.

I agree with you guiz, but wait until Kugel shows up with his Harley body pillow.
Are you fetish-shaming me, shitlord? Yeah, I have a raging hard-on for Harley. She's the best western tsundere character.

Classic Harley or Modern Slutty Harley? This distinction is important.

Tobacco was a mistake.

God, why is Harley Quinn a thing?
I like her. She has a cool design. Or at least, she did. Until the suits at DC decided she should be a punk goth girl tumblr hair with genuinely bleached skin, instead of her preferable court jester.design.

All the Harley Quinn revamps from the Arkham video games to Suicide Squad are all very generic looking. I'm guessing they wanted to make her more cosplay-friendly, but she barely looks like a clown anymore.

I haven't seen this yet, so I can't properly comment, but that Killing Joke movie was supremely terrible.
Well torrent it and get back to me. I would say 60% of the complaints about The Killing Joke was feminist horseshit about Batgirl was a victim and not being empowering, and the other 40% were that the movie had some extra stuff that wasn't in the book. I never read the book so I don't care about either of these things.

Full disclosure, I'm not a huge capeshit fans, so most of these movies are "torrent, watch once, delete" to me. I bought "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" because I legit like that one (DKR is one of the few capeshit that I read back in the day), and I own Batman: Year One and Batman: Gotham Knight because I got them cheap.

The stuff after the Batgirl prologue (which is like part very bad TAS episode where Batgirl keeps feeding an IRL troll, part fanfiction ending) is pretty on point as far as I remember. Maybe there was some additional group of power armor bad guys to pad things out, but I think I'm just mixing together memories from that Red Hood movie.

Which is a shame since proper Classic Harley cosplay is rad.

The feminist screeching does obfuscate a couple of legitimate problems with the movie, namely that the original prologue they created to pad it out is completely tonally different to the meat of The Killing Joke. It also shifts the focus of the story to Batgirl/Barbara Gordon when the entire point of the original story was that it was about Batman and the Joker, Barbara was incidental. They also put fucking relationship drama in the prologue and all sorts of other shit, and of course the whole thing is completely pointless except to establish that Barbara Gordon wasn't Batgirl any more when Joker shot her.

So yeah, feminist screeching was annoying, as usual, but I wouldn't be quick to defend it because it was shit. Like I said, Warners' insistence that it had to be 70 minutes really hurt it. At 30 minutes it would have been much tighter, more tonally complete and much more exciting to watch, were it not for the film's other problem which was the god awful animation quality.

One of the things they did to pad it out was have Batman fight The Joker's weird carnival freaks, when in the comic he just went straight for the Joker.

Right, those guys. Well, certainly sounds like a more sensible way of padding things out.
