It is. Just not for the state full of bad spending decisions and poorfags being salty.
And we have way too many of the former here in my state. I'd love it if we had a flat tax rule where we paid x% of our income in tax, with the stipulation that the state/government couldn't add any more taxes except to keep pace with inflation (and wages would go up too lel.) Just tax everyone a flat percentage and stop trying to add more BS nickle-and-dime taxation every voting cycle.
It would force the spendthrift con artist politicians to actually budget for things based on what people want and can use, and not on pushing some gay agenda about "we want less people driving cars" or "we need public art of a dick going into a gay man's ass because this is current year."

The income tax would be the ONLY tax, of course. No more taxes on taxes on taxes on taxes. I'm paying taxes on rain. Fucking rain! That's so stupid one couldn't just make that up. Yet somebody actually did and made it a law. RAIN!

We have some bullshit tax on just existing. You have to get a waiver if you're homeless or too poor to pay.
The tax pays for museums or art or some bullshit garbage nobody would ever fund willingly without being a shitlib.
