It's pretty occupied and I doubt the West will give them as much support as they pour into Ukraine.

Yea, Taiwan will be lucky to get 1/5 the aid that Ukraine will get. A lot of Western politicians are beholden to the CCP and Taiwan citizens aren't going to be as good at pandering to social media gaywads the Ukraine was.
That said if Russia could have taken care of business in March and April last year then international Ukrainian support would be much smaller now.

The logistics of supporting Taiwan indirectly without starting WW3 with China are too complex and difficult to overcome. Taiwan is easy for China to attack but hard for the West to defend.

Taiwan is much more important to the West than the Ukraine. Taiwan actually contributes to society by being one of the largest tech manufacturing countries. Ukraine contributes nothing but corruption.

China's military has always been hot fucking garbage. The Russian military was able to fuck up ISIS at least, China lost a skirmish to India recently who practically have BB Guns. And it's a damn island war, it's not like Hong Kong where the government is already subverted and you have a literal trainline that goes right into their country. If anything Taiwan is becoming more anti-China if recent election results are any indication which is why China is getting antsy since subversion isn't working.
