I've known some crazy welfare white trash who farted out kids so the authorities would not only give her more cash to invest in vodka and probably less legal substances as well, but also leave her alone about getting a job.

Overpopulation isn't a problem in the west. Birth rates are dropping along with east Asia as well, shit Germany's population was dropping before they imported all the refugees (which is the real reason they got so many). It's Africa and the Middle East that have rising populations and births (hence them migrating en masse), in other parts of the world the boomers will die off and the population will slowly drop after that.

And China. Africa, Middle East, China, etc are the places where overall population is getting out of control.

The population is still going up despite the west having fewer kids. So now what's happening is we import large families via immigration (illegal or not) and the overall effect is the population increases.

Liberal hippies were crying about overpopulation in the 70s. I mean, it's been known to be an issue for a while. Human beings plus cattle and livestock account for something like 98% of total terrestrial vertibrate life forms. It's some shit like that. Dan Dennett said it.

Factory farming exists to feed the population. Until vegan pussies come up with a way that feeds more people, more cheaply without changing their access to foods that people want to eat (like meat,) factory farming will stay around.

Of course, you can vote with your dollar and try to change shit, but just know nothing will actually change. The system is well-entrenched. No politician in the US will touch it because breakfast is a way more controversial issue than abortion or gay marriage. Once you start telling voters what foods they have to eat (being priced out of a food is the same as not being allowed to eat it,) the vote will go against you BIG TIME.

China's birth rate is very low, so much so that they recently got rid of the one child policy because it worked too well. Africa and the Middle East though have high birth rates, especially Africa. They need condoms badly there since they a lot of those kids will starve or get involved in violent shit... oh wait that has been happening for a while now.

Factory farming exists to make a profit. Vegans do have a way to feed exponentially more people -> wheat, soy, veggies, fruits, etc. Voting with your dollar has changed things historically (see: the 'organic', 'eco-friendly', 'natural', 'sustainable' industries, ). The campaign is not to tell voters what foods they have to eat, it's to convince voters that enjoying the luxurious taste of meat at a low price is not worth starving 100s of millions of people, destroying the planet for the billions yet to be born, or torturing millions of animals. 'Telling' voters what to do isn't going to work, you are correct. The aim is to educate voters so that they join the push for change. If you want really want meat so badly, find a way to donate to scientists working on bringing down the cost of in-vitro meat.

Condoms won't do anything, you know they won't wear them

They also have a pretty unbalanced male-to-female ratio as a result.

That's an awful lot of work to change something in such a way that it marginally decreases the quality of life for voters right now in order to get some long-term payoff they won't live to see.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying the realities of our system won't permit it. And "educating" voters to "want" what you want them to want is an iffy proposition. Shitlibs of the media variety have swallowed that koolaid wholesale (that enough brainwashing will just convince joe public to do whatever they tell him and vote however they say to,) but then Trump got elected and we're all still watching the media throw a tantrum in response.

A lot of voters just don't give a shit about nebulous future generations if it means they can't eat tasty animals right now.

Wheat, soy, veggies etc don't, incidentally, cause that much less animal death due to the way they're harvested. But since you haven't mentioned animal deaths, it's irrelevant. As long as you accept that field mice and other wild critters are going to be threshed in the thousands while harvesting this grain, and you consider it superior to factory farming (it is,) then that's fine. The problem I have is when vegan pussies try to pretend the vegan diet dindu nuffin to hurt an animal, ever.

VoiceofReasonsPast made a good point: Bugs. Bugs are the future IMO and far superior to any of this other shit people suggest. The biggest hurdle is to convince people to eat them and the stores to sell them at reasonable prices. There's no cruelty involved in factory farming bugs and they take very well to factory farm conditions in any case.

It doesn't work that way, mate. They aren't allowed to work or vote, which makes them entirely useless, no, even harmful to our economy. Merkel is just a moron and the political elite has been drinking their own Kool Aid for decades.
It's fun to try and find some kind of logical explanation for this whole situation. But in truth there isn't one. It's just a misguided attempt to help people.
