Why do lots of Americans do the "God bless you!", "Thank God!" and "The Lord will protect you" or soething every time something bad happens?
Doesn't that kinda prove that God is a massive dick?

It's a bit like the millions of American atheists who will tell you that God doesn't exist until they're blue in the face but yet still use phrases like, "oh my God," and, "thank God." Some people just have default phrases they go to that they've heard a lot but don't understand why they're saying them.
These guys you're referring to are also the same people who don't pay attention to the fact that the bible never once makes mention of you having an easy time being alive so take from it what you will.

I mean, I've seen some lots of shit during my sick-time. 25 years of hospitals makes you, if there is a loving God, think that he is just a dick.
When people say to a parent that just said "My 5 year old son took chemo and doesn't have cancer anymore" and some fuckers say "Oh thank God! Bless you! I will pray for you
:D:D", i just feel.. wtf? 5 year old are supposed to run around doing stupid shit with other children, not being a thin, bold and tired kid in bed.
