People are calling Trump a coward but 1. The state is doing a good enough job losing their case and 2. Why put yourself under oath for nonsequyiters and possibly new dirt for the Dems.

The legally sound strategy isn't necessarily the politically sound one. Zion Don doesn't need to testify, but he ends up looking like a coward. Although he has been looking like a coward since 2020 anyway.

Never talk to the police and never take the stand in your own trial.

Sure, if you're disputing a traffic ticket then by all means-testify. If it's something small. But don't play around with serious charges. You don't know what they're going to ask you or how your answers will make you look to others. Let your lawyer(s) do their jobs.

If Trump had taken the advice of counsel earlier, he wouldn't be on trial in the first fucking place. Because all his lawyers told him to just comply with the feds and hand over the documents at Mar-A-Lago.
