Speaking of Asian movies, here's Mike Tyson's cameo from Ip Man 3. It's just okay, and he displays some defense but it's mostly blocking not his insane ducking and weaving. For some reason boxing is really treated like shit in China, probably because a good boxer would beat the shit out of a kung-fu master.
Boxing is inferior because there's no kicking and mysticism you know.

I forgot the exact reason but traditional Chinese martial arts went through some serious retardation for (hundreds of) years and they are basically government backed fitness religion now. It's quite unfortunate considering karate/jiu-jitsu came from/through China.
Even Wing Chun (what Bruce Lee learned first) style isn't exception, they are all shit now.
This fight caused a serious controversy because this Tai-Chi guy was supposed to be one the best arm shattering martial artistist in China but turned out to be as good as that deranged Cuckson-do master.
Royce Gracie has been brought up elsewhere. Supposed God of Grappling who got his ass beat by some weak-ass karate guys. Point is, for all their bragging, a puncher has more of a chance in MMA than a wrestler/BJJ guy because the fights begin standing up.
