Belgium is Kraut.
At least the part worth keeping.

Re: Spirits
Which German part? You mean the Dutch part, which is just German with funny accents, the French part, a nation named after and populated by a German tribe, or the regular German part?
Somewhat but not really joking aside, name a single nation that doesn't have a German border or German heritage that can brew good beer.

Yeah, Belgium is one of the golden regions when it comes to beer. Even the relatively common, macro-scale Blue Moon Belgian White Ale is quite nice. Certainly a massive step up from Swiller Lite, Chudweiser and Poors (Coors.) Which it shares retail space and relative pricing with. How somebody can throw a Pabst Blue Ribbon box into their cart when Blue Moon and Konig Ludwig are damn near the same price baffles me. A couple dollars difference is the gulf between hell and heaven.CuckTurdginson wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2024 8:14 pmHad a Belgian beer that was fucking incredible.

Some people just like bland and unchallenging things. There are plenty of people that drink the same beer all their life.
That's just odd to me as well, no matter how good the beer is. That's something you do with cigarettes, not beer. I've smoked Gaulloise Blondes Blue for fifteen years or so, switched to Camel filterless and soon to Overstolz.
Those were awesome! Until the EU regulated that all cigarettes need to be self-extinguishing and they had to poke holes into the paper, making every cigarette taste like a light. Perhaps I should be glad, because I'd still smoke them. Or at least until 2017 when they were discontinued.
