American Dad is pretty funny. And when it's not, I'm entertained. It's remained funnier longer than the Simpsons imo.

You're not wrong about Simpsons, but I'm one of those who didn't watch Simpsons during whatever golden age of comedy it had, and so I never saw what was the point of that fucking show. I can't recall ever watching a Simpsons episode and laughing. The only thing good to come of that show were memes.

Classics Simpsons was fantastic, it's just that it's been Zombie Simpsons for 20 years, and at this point has more bad episodes than good. The essay on DeadHomers about the rise and fall of The Simpsons is a good read, would give a better view of what it meant for television and culture than I could.
I have all the classic seasons on DVD, I wish I could watch them but my laptop dosen't have a disc drive and I'm too lazy to hook up my PS2.
