I can see people overhyping the shit out of Undertale with its "You don't have to kill anyone!!" gimmick. But Shovel Knight? That's basically just Ducktales meets Mega Man, both franchises which already had a renaissance before Shovel Knight (or did that HD Ducktales game after? I dunno). That's hardly mindblowing.
